If a student takes MTH 205 they are required to take one additional 3-hour MTH or STA course numbered 200 or above.
To declare this major, at least three of MTH 111, MTH 112, MTH 113, MTH 117, MTH 121 and STA 112 must be completed with a grade of at least a C or through AP credit.
To be graduated with the designation “Honors in Mathematics,” or "Honors in Applied Mathematics," students must satisfactorily complete a senior research paper, and they must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 in the major and 3.0 in all college coursework. For additional information, members of the departmental faculty should be consulted.
