The Department of Anthropology promotes understanding and appreciation of human cultural and biological diversity. Through academic courses, scholarship, and applied research, the Department provides the Wake Forest University community with the tools and knowledge necessary for ethical, just, and responsible local and global partnerships. Composed of scholars representing all four sub-fields of anthropology, and including a dynamic and public-facing museum of anthropology, the Department serves as the foremost academic and practical resource for cross-cultural awareness and education in the University and Triad communities, enhancing the University’s commitment to Pro Humanitate.

Program of Study GPA Calculation

All courses offered by the department of the student’s program of study as well as all courses offered by departments outside of the student’s program of study that could potentially fulfill a program of study requirement will be utilized in the calculation of the student’s program of study GPA.
