This course introduces a practical understanding of modern technology solutions used by businesses/organizations to solve complex business problems, optimize existing processes, innovate, compete, and enter new markets, business transformation.

ITM 712. Systems Analysis & Design. (3 h)

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the principles and practices involved in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of effective information systems. In this course students will gain proficiency in modern software development practices, including analyzing project requirements, effective project communications, risk analysis, cost estimation and budgeting, and quality control.

ITM 714. IS Strategy & Governance. (3 h)

This course will cover the creation and implementation of long-term plans for designing, delivering, and using organizational information systems to achieve strategic domain goals and objectives. Students will discuss resources to ensure alignment with and achievement of strategies, goals, and objectives.

ITM 750. Law and Ethics in IT. (3 h)

This course provides information about the ethical considerations and issues that IT professionals encounter in the workplace given their exposure to data, various forms of electronic communication, and other types of information. Students will also explore contract law to cover a variety of services, including software, cybersecurity, and privacy.

ITM 751. IT Infrastructure and Enterprise Cloud Computing. (3 h)

This course provides students with an overview of common IT infrastructure technologies including virtualization, cloud computing services/models, and effective strategies to design fault-tolerant and redundant systems.

ITM 799. Capstone. (3 h)

Integrating and applying what is learned across a set of courses and experiences leads to deeper understanding and habits of practice that inform a career. The capstone project applies the knowledge and skills gained through the program to a real-world challenge in the field of IT Management. The specific project will vary depending on student interest and goals. Students will work with practicing professionals or industry partners in a relevant field to define and develop their capstone project. Students must complete all core courses prior to the capstone project.
